Rip The Ripper Art Show

Unless you remember ‘The Search for Animal Chin’, look away now. Any skateboarders who grew up in the 80’s will instantly recognise the the ‘Ripper’ image that became so synonymous with Bones, The Bones Brigade, and the Powell-Peralta brand. So, on January 23rd, 2009, Powell-Peralta hosted the Rip the Ripper Art Show – Fifty eight artists displaying pieces to celebrate the iconic Ripper graphic. The artists included everyone from high-profile street artists such as Shepard Fairey, to legendary skateboarder Steve Caballero.
