Broken Crow

Is it a Sheep? Goat? Deer? Llama? I’m loving the work of Broken Crow aka. John Grider. Although, my girlfriend and I are having an argument over what the animal is in one of his latest large murals. I think it’s a baby goat, whereas my girlfriend thinks it’s a deer (crazy, right?)

Whatever it is, it’s cool. Go and check out his work at brokencrow.com.

Art Meets Matter.

mugshots by Art Meets Matter

Must…fight…the urge…to talk…about…chairs! I’m actually more interested in the Factum stuff which is a foldable, postable, recyclable range of furniture. But in the effort of curbing my chair fetish I’m going to post about these Mugshot mugs from Art Meets Matter.

Feeling rebellious – or want to drink from the fountain of celebrity? Print may fade and news grow cold but keep a smile on your face with these funky designs – the rich and famous captured forever on porcelain…

So if you fancy drinking out of mugs featuring police mugshots of Keanu Reeves, Hugh Grant, Jane Fonda, Sid Vicious, Frank Sinatra or Al Pacino. Get yourself over to Art Meets Matter.

Unto This Last.

Facet Chair by Unto This Last

Perhaps it’s a sickness? It’s only since I started this blog that I’ve realised I seem to have an unhealthy obsession with chairs. No other item of furniture seems to interest me as much, and I have no idea why. Maybe I was abused with a chair in a previous life. Anyway, my current chair fetish attention is focused on the Facet Chair by Unto This Last.

Unto This Last are an interesting company. Their products are all made on site by somekind of evil magic machine which takes a 3D design and carves it out of a sheet of plywood. The carved pieces are then assembled using simple wooden locking mechanisms without the use of tools.

London Paint Jam.

London Paint Jam

UK vs. Australia with paint. The Wooster Collective report on a recent Paint Jam in London between the United Kingdom and Australia. I love seeing full wall grafitti in internal structures. I dream of the day that I can find a styling artist to come round and paint my office walls. I’m so jealous of what SkinnyCorp did with their office.

Dan Funderburgh. November 22, 2006

Dan Funderburgh

Everybody should know him by now. I just wanted an excuse to shove up a pattern from Dan Funderburgh. Just to make the site look pretty. I’m shallow like that.

There’s nothing much to say about Funderburgh, his work speaks for itself. Go and check out DanFunderburgh.com

Alfredo Häberli.

Take A Line For A Walk by Alfredo Häberli

More Chair fetish stuff. This isn’t particularly new or anything, but I’ve been sorting through some photos of a recent trip to Paris where we stayed in the Hotel du Petit Moulin (I’ll post on that experience at a later date.) The hotel’s interior was designed by Christian Lacroix, and the room we stayed in had some amazing chairs. I’ve now found out that the chairs were the Take A Line For A Walk chair designed by Alfredo Häberli for Moroso.

I want one!

Fantini.

Milano Collection by Fantini

Let’s get all the bathroom stuff out of the way for today. I want a dark bathroom where water can be lit up in different colours. Taking a shower should be like escaping to a luxury acid-trip. That’s why I love the Milano Collection by Fantini. Neon-blue water is the the only way to shower.

Although, while we’re on the subject of showers. I’ve got to quickly mention the RainSky E by Dornbracht. I’ve got to do it quickly, otherwise I’ll get over-excited. The RainSky E is the God of all showers.

Factor Collection by Marike.

Marikie

You’re all going to die. Just so you know, I’d kill each and everyone one of you for the items available from the Factor Collection by Marike. Uber-sexy bathrooms. It’s the minimal sinks that turn me on.
