To celebrate Penguin Classics Diamond Anniversary six world-class designers and architects were given free reign to design a brand new Anniversary Edition of their favourite Penguin Classics. So far Madame Bovary (designed by Manolo Blahnik), Tender is the Night (designed by Sam Taylor-wood) and Lady Chatterley’s Lover (designed by Paul Smith) are sold out. At the time of writing this post, Crime & Punishment designed by Fuel and The Idiot designed by the architect Ron Arad were still available to buy.

I’m a bit confused. Penguin claims that “six world-class designers and architects” were involved, but there are only 5 books available. Does Fuel count as two, or is there another book that has not, as yet, been disclosed?

Anyway, if you want one of the remaining Penguin Limited Edition Classics, you better get your credit card out before they all sell out!
