A better man could give this a deep philosophical meaning. Not me though. “The World Justified” just looks cool (here’s an image I knocked up to give you a better idea. I can’t link directly to the website as its in Flash). As far as I can tell the piece is somekind of video art created by the Brazilian born Angela Detanico & Rafael Lain who now live and work in Paris. The only explanation offered is that its…
A map of the world represented in a graphic style and arranged like a text.

While we’re on the topic of beautiful concepts. Check out the research & development going on at Nokia. God only knows why they aren’t selling handsets this stylish on the general market! Don’t they know I have a credit card ready and willing to be abused?

I hate concepts. I hate them because they never end up getting made, and they always look so good. The Montre 360° watch concept from Parisian designer Mathieu Porentru is a case in point. I’d love to buy one, but it’ll probably never get made, so I’ll just have to lust after it from a distance.

The obsessive compulsive in me wants to straighten these. If you want something quirky & stylish the Tilt Chair by L’abbate is a must. It comes in a Sofa as well, but that wouldn’t look as good as a couple of the arm-chairs lined up to accentuate the tilt.

Can a man talk “wallpaper” without sounding like an effeminate interior designer? Probably not, so I’m just going to quickly post a link to Hanna Werning’s Wallpaper Posters (and all her other Wallpaper for that matter).

Ever needed some really fancy cardboard boxes? Because it looks like the Object Deluxe from Lago might be just what you need. The various boxes are pretty cool, but they’re even cooler when made into lampshades.
See more photos at Lago Blog (you might even learn more information about the items if you can read Italian. In which case, leave some comments with what you’ve learnt. Thanks!)

I’ve got to get myself one of these bad boys! Check out the Atensio(r)-Lux lighting system. Winner of a Red Dot Design Award, the lighting “combines the versatility of modular room partitioning with the various advantages of large surface area lighting. The flat lighting elements have a super-lightweight diffuser on either side. Special long-life lamps with different colour temperatures assure even illumination over the entire surface. The illuminated panels can be combined and arranged in a wide variety of different ways.” Apparently. All I know is that I want that huge pillar of lights.
